The MARLISCO Contest Videos at the 1st Naturalistic Cinematography Festival in Pineto

On the occasion of the Torre del Cerrano Marine Protected Area (Italy) 4th anniversary, the Italian Municipality of Pineto was organizing the Pro-Park Event on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of August 2014.

During these days, among the many alternating initiatives, the 1st Naturalist Cinematography Festival was run in the Filiani Villa in Pineto (Italy): documentaries and short films about nature preservation were shown for three days. The Province of Teramo took actively part to this event by showing the videos realized within the Italian MARLISCO Video Contest about marine litter realized by youngsters coming from various Italian schools.

The event was launched by the Legambiente’ Green Schooner arrival aiming at sustaining the Maritime Park: MARLISCO Italy has already adhered to the national and European Legambiente’ campaign about marine pollution given by marine litter.

The Province of Teramo showed the following MARLISCO videos:

  • 1st classified: “SOS Sea” (original title: “SOS Mare”), Virgo Laureatana School from Grottammare (Ascoli Piceno, Italy), 01/08, in the Filiani Villa Garden, Pineto - 9,30 pm;
  • 2nd classified: “Pollutingly” (o.t. “Inquinamente”), “Cocconi” Institute from Rome, 02/08, Enrico Fermi square, Silvi – h 9,00 pm;
  • 3rd classified: “Food Chain” (o.t. “Catena Alimentare”), Melchiorre-Delfico Secondary School from Teramo, 03/08, Cerrano Tower, h 9,00 pm.
