MARLISCO Video Award Ceremony

Cyprus: The Awards Ceremony for the MARLISCO Video Contest in Cyprus was held on the 26 March 2014 in Nicosia. The event was attended by over 100 people, including the Cypriot Minister for Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment Mr Nicos Kougialis, and representatives from the Ministry for Education and Culture, the Office of the European Parliament, and the Cyprus Tourism Organisation.

During the ceremony the following teams were awarded:
tl_files/marlisco/lib/layout/arrow-more-light.png  1st Prize was awarded to the team from Apostles Peter and Paul Lyceum in Limassol
tl_files/marlisco/lib/layout/arrow-more-light.png  2nd Prize was awarded to the team from St. Charalambos Lyceum in Emba, Pafos
tl_files/marlisco/lib/layout/arrow-more-light.png  3rd Prize was awarded to the team from 1st Lyceum of Archbishop Makarios in Pafos.

Honorary mentions for music creation were given to two teams (from St. Antonios Lyceum in Limassol and from Dasoupoli Lyceum in Nicosia), whereas the 'Public's Favourite' award was given to the team from Polemidia Lyceum in Limassol. 

The awards were unique, marine-themed, handmade creations from the Cyprus Handicraft Service. 

In the photo below, Mr Nicos Kougialis, the Cypriot Minister for Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment presents the 1st Prize to the team from Apostles Peter and Paul Lyceum and their teacher.
